The North Omaha Trail

The North Omaha Trail is a project by Fabric Lab and it will provide a critical transportation, economic, recreational, and public health link that will tie in to the Paxton Boulevard Trail and connect several North Omaha neighborhood anchors including the North Omaha transit station at 30th & Ames, the Kennedy Square redevelopment, the 24th & Lake Historic District, and eventually North Downtown
Project Description:
Fabric Lab wanted a brand that spoke to the community that would utilize and house the trail. African Americans making up the majority of the population,, the colors chosen are from the Pan-African flag that represents the African continent. Inside the logo live 4 symbols, a zinnia flower (representing friendship, endurance, daily remembrance, goodness, and lasting affection), 2 Adinkra symbols Nkyinkyim (initiative, dynamism and versatile), and Sankofa ( importance of learning from the past) and a handshake (representing community)
